Katerina Christina is a Greek-American fine artist based in New York City. She first picked up a camera in early 2018 in search of a creative outlet to balance her mechanical engineering studies at Stanford University. What started as an escape from the intensity of engineering is now a daily source of inspiration and appreciation for the world around her. Her street photography focuses on slowing down to appreciate the small but powerful moments we often miss while consumed in technology and the stressors of everyday life—the quiet moments in the chaos.

Her long-term documentary project ‘Shattered Glass’ tells the stories of women around the world who are shattering barriers and expectations in male-dominated roles, giving fellow females the role models, exposure, and resources they need to break into these fields, all while unapologetically embracing their femininity.

Aside from photography, Katerina creates line drawings with both pen and charcoal. Her style mirrors that of her photography, using just a few strokes of a pen to evoke emotion and intrigue.

Outside of her artistic pursuits, Katerina is also on a domestic professional cycling team. She is also a dual-degree Master of Architecture and M.S. Real Estate Development candidate at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
